In his 25 year career with Barry-Wehmiller, Scott Farroll has developed a skill set that enables him to provide unique value to BW Container Systems’ clients around the world. As Vice President of Global Sales, Scott relies on a diverse career path that features time spent leading sales, engineering, customer service and consulting teams with three different Barry-Wehmiller divisions.
A controls engineer by trade, Scott joined Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in 1991 and during his 12-year stint, he was a system integration Project Manager, was the Director of Controls and Integration for the company, and eventually became one of the founding Partners of Barry-Wehmiller Design Group where he was responsible for strategic growth in both the Household and Personal Care markets. It was here that Scott gained his first international experience, having executed projects throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. In 2003, he joined another division of Barry-Wehmiller, MarquipWardUnited as Vice President of Engineering, eventually leading Customer Support as well.
Scott joined BW Container Systems in 2009, as Director of Technical Services, where he was responsible for the Applications and Projects teams. He quickly and successfully transitioned to sales, where he was tapped to serve as Director of International Sales and eventually Vice President of Global Sales. “I feel very fortunate to have connected with Barry-Wehmiller very early in my career. I have now spent nearly 25 years ‘growing up’ in a fantastic environment where we value people and strive to always learn from our experiences in order to create a better future, commented Scott.”
Scott is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where he studied both Electrical and Computer Engineering and was a member of the soccer team. Scott and his wife Sarah live in St. Louis, MO with their children Will, Caroline, Ian, Abby, Sophie, Kyle. Scott is an accomplished triathlete who has completed several Ironman distance races. He provides mentoring and coaching for runners and triathletes who raise funds for cancer research through Team in Training.
